The
Star Hotel Bed & Breakfast is a historic site, completely
renovated in 2004, located right in the southern heart of North
Carolina. Built in 1896, The Star Hotel Bed and Breakfast was
located at the junction of two major railways in North Carolina.
Where the North/South railway met the East/West railway, many
times the passengers would get off the train and would have to
spend the night to wait for the train to pass the next day. Even
though they didn't call it a Bed & Breakfast Back in those
days, in essence it was exactly that. People would spend the night,
wake up and eat breakfast and take off again. Now in 2006, The
Star Hotel Bed and Breakfast is still the perfect place to stay,
with Pinehurst and Troy only a short driving distance away as
well as Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh all within equal distance.
